Do you have a Loved One’s Estate of R/C items that you need to liquidate? Our club can help! We have several options that we can offer you.
First and foremost, let us say we are sorry for your loss and offer you and your family our condolences.
Our club does deal with R/C Estates and offers several options (provided we think the items have enough value). Our club has an annual fundraiser each year in early February and is our only means to sustain our outreach of teaching model R/C Aviation to the new and old alike. We participate in a STEM program with the Youth Adventures Association (mostly Boy Scouts) twice a year, The Columbus Air Show, and The Ohio State Fair promoting and educating Model Aviation. We also host (5) Fun Fly’s at our club field during the summer months where we offer an introductory R/C flight with a trainer airplane using a “Buddy Box” system to anyone who wants to “Try It before you Buy It” to see if this is something they would enjoy. We also have $1.00 annual membership dues for youth at our club to make it easy for them to join.
With that in mind, we usually offer several options:
- You can donate the items and we sell then at our SWAP SHOP annual fundraiser event to help sustain our youth outreach
- We sell your items at our SWAP SHOP and we split the proceeds 50/50
- We buy your items outright and then resell them at our SWAP SHOP (keep in mind our offer is based on being able to make profit when we resell it)
- You rent a table(s) at our SWAP SHOP in February and sell your items yourself
- We can post your Flyer (that you create for your items) on our website and Facebook as well as send an email out to our club members to see if anyone is interested (and you can deal with them directly) You can at anytime post yourself on our Facebook page the items you wish to sell.
Most people choose option 1 or 2. You may choose option 1 because you need to move the items out quickly. If so, we will pick the items up right away and store them until our SWAP SHOP. Sometimes, we will do that with Option 2 depending on quantity & value, provided we have the space to store them. Keep in mind that we are limited in what we can store.
